Once was home

            Once a homestead, this frame house is one of what used to be many homes in what is now Land Between Lakes National Recreation Area.  I shot this a couple of weeks ago (10-21-2018) during an abbreviated trip to LBL.  I'm not sure of its history or why it was not torn down or moved like so many of the other homes in LBL, for it was simply fenced off (the fence has also seen better days, in fact, for there are now large gaps and it's obvious the homestead has been used as a gathering site for more than a few over the years), probably by TVA to limit potential liability.  It's easily found not far east of the Great Western iron furnace site on Road 204's north side.
