And that's it, the magic has happened: I'm passionate about vultures! I was scared to death of them before my first encounter with them in March 2020 (the day before the 1st confinement, in fact!). And here I am, 4 years later, informing myself, studying them to learn more about their age, and wanting to go back again and again. This latest trip was exceptional, as I was able to observe 3 of France's 4 species of vulture.

I'm very satisfied with my photo equipment : I find it incredible to get a quality image with a camera I bought for 500 euros 12 years ago. (Canon 550D)
9 collimators, 3.7 frames per second (this will speaks to photographers)...
So, of course, I miss a lot of photos because of the slowness, but that makes the ones I do manage to take even more valuable to me.

For the record, if you zoom in, you'll see that this vulture has a fluffy white feather stuck in its nostril !

Et voilà, ça y est, la magie a opéré : je suis passionnée par les vautours ! J'en avais une peur bleue avant ma première rencontre avec eux en mars 2020 (la veille du 1er confinement d'ailleurs !). Et me voilà, 4 ans plus tard à m'informer, à les étudier pour apprendre à connaître approximativement leur âge, à avoir envie d'y retourner sans cesse. Je suis très satisfaite de mon matériel photo : je trouve ça incroyable d'obtenir une image de qualité avec un appareil photo que j'ai acheté 500 euros il y a déjà 12 ans. (Canon 550D)
9 collimateurs, 3,7 images par seconde (cela parlera aux photographes)...
Alors bien sûr, je rate de très nombreuses photos à cause de la lenteur entre autres, mais cela donne encore plus de valeur, à mes yeux, à celles que je parviens à réaliser.

Pour l'anecdote, si vous zoomez, vous verrez que ce vautour a une plume blanche, duveteuse, coincée dans la narine !
