Waiting for her love one - a photo on Flickriver

            Obrestad lighthouse on the south/western coast of Norway. Built in 1873 and electrified in 1917. It became fully automated in 1982 and unmanned since 1991. It was electrified in 1917.
During WWII the Germans fortified this area and four 100mm canons was installed in may 1941. Today you can still see the remainings of two gun emplacement.Originally the beacon was installed on the west side of the building,but the Germans build a lager tower on the east side and the beacon was installed here after the war. The building was the command bunker for this fortress.
