Hverfjall and Larches - a photo on Flickriver

            A side view of Hverfjall in Myvatn at -17 with a 50mph wind (I know this because there was a great big digital roadsign on the way up the hill out of Myvatn that kept me posted). That's a -28 windchill. I had to use a brolly to keep the wind off the camera whilst I was perched at the edge of the road. Quite a few people went past and slowed down to look at me in an odd sort of way - takes a lot to disturb Icelanders but a weirdo with an accordion on a tripod holding an umbrella did the trick...
