DB ICE Tz 305 + 322 @ Oberscheuren - a photo on Flickriver

            Onnodig om te zeggen dat de Regenboog ICE niet in de geplande omloop zat. Aangezien ook de Europa ICE niet zeker was (voor de desbetreffende verbinding van Amsterdam naar Frankfurt was er in Düsseldorf een overstap van perron op perron voorzien), bleven we minder lang dan voorzien aan de hogesnelheidslijn staan.
Wel nog lang genoeg om deze 403 005 mee te nemen met één van de weinige op tijd rijdende ICE-treinen van deze namiddag.

We besloten om terug te keren naar de Rijn, na een korte stop in Bad Honnef om een ander punt langs de hogesnelheidslijn te verkennen (onmogelijk om te zetten met de aanwezige schaduwen), zou de brug in Dattenberg onze volgende stop worden. Daar hebben we al een aantal keren geluk gehad met de goederentreinen en persoonlijk vind ik dat ook een heel leuke stek omdat je de treinen minuten op voorhand ziet afkomen.

Needless to say that the rainbow ICE didn't show up, and also for the Europe ICE there were problems to be foreseen (the train from Amsterdam to Frankfurt was with a platform change from train to train in Düsseldorf). We decided to limit our stay at the high speed line, Dattenberg on the right Rhineline would be our next destination.
