Raspberry, also called red raspberry or occasionally as European raspberry to distinguish it from other raspberries) is a red-fruited species of Rubus native to Europe and northern Asia and commonly cultivated in other temperate regions.
A closely related plant in North America, sometimes regarded as the variety Rubus idaeus var. strigosus, is more commonly treated as a distinct species, Rubus strigosus (American red raspberry), as is done here. Red-fruited cultivated raspberries, even in North America, are generally Rubus idaeus or horticultural derivatives of hybrids of R. idaeus and R. strigosus. 

Rubus idaeus, de nombre común frambueso, es un arbusto perenne del género Rubus nativo de Europa y norte de Asia. Su fruto, la frambuesa, es un eterio formado por varias drupas (polidrupa).
Se trata de un arbusto perenne de entre 1,5 y 2,5 m de altura. Crece con mayor frecuencia en claros de bosques o prados, en especial donde el fuego o las talas han dejado un espacio abierto para que medre esta colonizadora oportunista. Es de fácil cultivo y tiene tendencia a extenderse a menos que se la mantenga bajo control. Prefiere suelos profundos y ácidos, pues los calcáreos le producen clorosis.
Su fruto consiste en una polidrupa de sabor fuerte y dulce. La frambuesa fructifica a finales de verano o principios de otoño. Esta fruta del bosque es parecida a la zarzamora, pero más pequeña y blanda.

A framboesa (Rubus idaeus L.), fruto da framboeseira, é uma pseudobaga e um fruto agregado, cujo sabor suave e adocicado é utilizado para diversas finalidades, como sorvetes, xaropes, geleias, licores e doces. É necessário que a framboeseira seja submetida a pelo menos 700 horas por ano a temperatura inferior a 7 °C para que a produção seja satisfatória.
Originária dos campos do centro e norte da Europa e de parte da Ásia, a planta espinhosa pertence à família das Rosáceas e seu fruto é frequentemente confundido com a amora-preta, da qual se diferencia por ser oco e portanto mais delicado.

La framboise, également appelée framboise rouge ou parfois framboise européenne pour la distinguer des autres framboises) est une espèce de Rubus à fruits rouges originaire d’Europe et d’Asie du Nord et couramment cultivée dans d’autres régions tempérées.
Les framboises cultivées à fruits rouges, même en Amérique du Nord, sont généralement des Rubus idaeus ou des dérivés horticoles d’hybrides de R. idaeus et de R. strigosus. 

Framboos, ook wel rode framboos genoemd of af en toe als Europese framboos om het te onderscheiden van andere frambozen) is een roodvruchtige soort rubus afkomstig uit Europa en Noord-Azië en wordt vaak gekweekt in andere gematigde streken.
Roodvruchtige gekweekte frambozen, zelfs in Noord-Amerika, zijn over het algemeen Rubus idaeus of tuinbouwderivaten van hybriden van R. idaeus en R. strigosus. 

Il lampone, chiamato anche lampone rosso o occasionalmente come lampone europeo per distinguerlo dagli altri lamponi) è una specie di Rubus a frutto rosso originaria dell'Europa e dell'Asia settentrionale e comunemente coltivata in altre regioni temperate.
I lamponi coltivati a frutto rosso, anche in Nord America, sono generalmente Rubus idaeus o derivati orticoli di ibridi di R. idaeus e R. strigosus. 

Himbeere, auch rote Himbeere oder gelegentlich als europäische Himbeere bezeichnet, um sie von anderen Himbeeren zu unterscheiden) ist eine rotfruchtige Rubusart, die in Europa und Nordasien beheimatet ist und häufig in anderen gemäßigten Regionen angebaut wird.
Rotfruchtige Kultur himbeeren, auch in Nordamerika, sind im Allgemeinen Rubus idaeus oder gartenbauliche Derivate von Hybriden von R. idaeus und R. strigosus. 

التوت، وتسمى أيضا التوت الأحمر أو في بعض الأحيان كما التوت الأوروبي لتمييزه عن التوت الأخرى) هو نوع أحمر الفاكهة من روبوس الأصلي إلى أوروبا وشمال آسيا وتزرع عادة في المناطق المعتدلة الأخرى.
التوت المزروعة ذات الفاكهة الحمراء، حتى في أمريكا الشمالية، هي عموما روبوس idaeus أو المشتقات البستانية من الهجينة من R. idaeus وR. strigosus.
