Eros - Gott der Liebe - a photo on Flickriver

            In der Mitte des Piccadilly Circus steht die berühmte Statue von Anteros, dem Zwilling des Eros; sie ist dem Philanthropen und Gegner der Kinderarbeit gewidmet.
Im Lauf der Jahre setzte sich die falsche Ansicht durch, die Statue sein ein Bildnis von Eros, dem Gott der Liebe-bis heute hat sich dieses Gerücht hartnäckig gehalten (sogar in der U-Bahn weisen Schilder den Weg zum "Eros").
