            Foot pedals of Model T hand-cranked Ford at Rancho Las Lomas. 
From Wikipedia:  The automobile was operated with 3 foot pedals and a throttle on the steering wheel.  This was considered a 3 -speed car, but 1 speed was reverse.  There was no separate clutch pedal as we have today.  The pedals were operated in conjunction with a lever on the right of the driver's seat which also operated the handbrake.  The left pedal engaged the gear, the middle pedal put the car in reverse gear while it was in neutral, and the right pedal was the transmission brake (there were no brakes on the wheel.)  There was no separate clutch pedal.
