Schloss Rosenau / Rosenau Castle - a photo on Flickriver

            Schloss Rosenau westlich von Zwettl in der niederösterreichischen Region Waldviertel war das Ziel eines sommerlichen Ausflugs. Das Schloss, das von den Herren von Greiß ab dem Jahr 1593 von einem bereits vorhandenen Vierkanthof zu einem Renaissance-Schloss erweitert wurde, beherbergt seit 1975 ein Freimaurer-Museum, das uns schon länger interessierte. Auf diesem Foto posieren Ursula und meine Wenigkeit vor dem Portal des Schlosses.

Rosenau Castle to the west of Zwettl in the region Waldviertel (~ forest quarter) of Lower Austria was the destination of a summer excursion. The castle, which was extended by the Lords of Greisz from an existing square farmyard into a Renaissance castle in 1593, has housed a Masonic museum since 1975, which we had been interested in for some time. In this photo, Ursula and I pose in front of the castle portal.
