Snowy Owl - a photo on Flickriver

Snowy Owl

            Finally after 3 years I was able to get a photo of a Snowy Owl! In fact this week I saw 2 and got photos of both! The other one was a bit younger I think and it was feisty! But it was a ways away. However, I was heading to work today skies were clear but very cold...
I pulled over at the side of the road to shot this shot. Went to work and then the skies opened up. White-outs and black ice everywhere. It took me just over 3 hrs to get home after work. It's only a 45 min drive. 
I think the day was worth it though since it started out with seeing this amazing creature. :)
