I'm from Las Tablas, and with more than two decades living in this world, I haven't visited the highest peak in my hometown! I have always heard about Canajagua Hill. There is even a radio station named after the hill. Why is it so important? Well, from what I have researched, this hill is the place where 70 antennas are located for telecomms. This hill is part of the national network for telecomms, the other beings Volcán Barú in Chiriqui (the highest peak in Panama), Cerro Jefe (lit. Boss or Chief Hill) in Panama and Cerro Pirre in Darien.

Los Santos province is known for being dry and hot. But in Canajagua is quite the opposite and when the sky is clear, you can see as far as Chitre City I believe (30Kms away), because when we were returning back to Panama City, I could see Canajagua clearly from "La Arena de Chitré".
