Orange Glow

            Hilton Head Island (or Hilton Head) is a resort town in Beaufort County, South Carolina, United States. It is 20 miles north of Savannah, Georgia, and 95 miles south of Charleston. The island features 12 miles of beachfront on the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular vacation destination. Hilton Head Island is often referred to as the second largest barrier island on the eastern seaboard after Long Island.

After minimal sleep, I hiked out to Forest Beach and anxiously waited for an extravagant sunrise. Without disappointment, the early morning sky was ablaze in vibrant orange hue.

Note: This particular photograph, also known as "Orange Glow", was selected amongst hundreds of other nature-related photos to be published in the acclaimed "Best of 2010 Photography Anthology".
