Yet another view of a famous chapel - a photo on Flickriver

            The Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta is located in the hills of the Val d'Orcia on the road between San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza. 

The chapel was first mentioned in 1590. In 1533 a statue of the Virgin Mary by Andrea della Robbia was placed in the church, which is now kept in the church of Madonna di Vitaleta in San Quirico.

On our way to the church the sky was overcast, only once the sun came out briefly.

Die Kapelle der Madonna di Vitaleta befindet sich in den Hügeln des Val d'Orcia an der Straße zwischen San Quirico d'Orcia und Pienza. 

Die Kapelle wurde im Jahr 1590 erstmals erwähnt. Im Jahr 1533 wurde in der Kirche eine Marienstatue von Andrea della Robbia aufgestellt, die heute in der Kirche Madonna di Vitaleta in San Quirico aufbewahrt wird.

Auf unserem Weg zur Kirche war der Himmel bedeckt, nur einmal kam kurz die Sonne raus.
