Special:
- In March 1976, this "open" Kadett ("half-convertible" model based on the Sedan) was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show.
- The standard Kadett C was transformed into a kind of Targa by Baur Karosserie- und Fahrzeugbau GmbH in Stuttgart (Germany).
- It has a four-speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive.
- The roof disappears in the top of the trunk and hardly takes luggage space. The trunk also remains accessible. 
- The rear window could be lowered and covered with a loose cover included.
- The dashboard has the sporty "SR" instruments and a sports steering wheel is also standard. 
- It costed about DM 15,500,=, while you could buy a standard Kadett C at DM 9,095,=.
- From 1977, the larger 1600S engine was available (1584cc / 75bhp/5.200rpm).
- This Aero is upgraded with a 1998cc straight-4 with 156 bhp.
