Sunrise at the Kalyan complex; Bukhara, Uzbekistan

            I went for an early morning walk during our last trip to Bukhara - this area is usually swarming with tourists so I was particularly pleased to find nobody around when I reached the Kalyan Complex.  I was also pleased to find the sun beaming directly through the one small window in the facade!

While I've been to Bukhara several times, this is the first time I've seen this particular building - the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, 1535 - without scaffolding on it.
