Mid-summer's Night

What could be more English on a summer's evening.....an open air theatre next to a lake in the grounds of a country house watching a traditional performance of 'A Mid Summer's Night Dream' by Bill Shakespeare.

We were privileged to be at this performance as it was acted by one of the best Shakerpearean companies in the UK, 'The Lord Chamberlain's Men'; Shakespeares own company and in 1596-7 was the first company to perform this play.
