Saint Paul's Episcopal Church:
The first service in the current building was on June 8, 1919. During this period many of the stained-glass windows were ordered and installation began in 1920. The organ arrived in 1931, in time for the Christmas services. A major restoration of the church was begun in 1991 to save the building from collapse. The concrete used in the construction had been mixed with sea water and beach sand, which caused the steel reinforcing within the walls to rust and expand. This in turn caused many of the walls and columns to split. Work was completed in 1993 at a cost of nearly one million dollars. Today the church continues to stand as a beacon within the diverse cultural community of Key West. The church is open daily for prayer, quiet meditation and visiting. Many concerts and other community events take place here and St. Paul’s plays a positive role in the community, artistically and spiritually. A magnificent church. Come and visit it.

Duval Street is two miles long (traveling east to west) on this two-by-four mile-wide island, the furthest 'point-south' in the continental United States. You can dip your toes in the Gulf of Mexico, walk to the other end of Duval Street, and dip them in the Atlantic Ocean
all in an hour's time. St. Paul's Episcopal Church is the main focal point right here in the middle of town. All along the way are shops and restaurants and that easy laid-back Key West Florida lifestyle.
