2212_0768 Short-eared Owl - a photo on Flickriver

            I was lucky to see this rare winter visitor in December on a late afternoon drive through my favourite national park. It held still for a couple of bursts from the rolling red Toyota blind, then was gone. The warm colour balance is from a low sun. When winter light is good here, it's very, very good!
