A Morning in the Dunes - a photo on Flickriver

            This shot was taken in the the dunes at Stokksnes in Iceland, the clouds developed and lit up as the sun rose in a 58 minute show and then just faded away.

Vestrahorn and the other peaks that make this amazing view are made of Plutonic Gabbro and the slopes are covered in huge amounts of scree that give it its distinctive look and shape.

I hope to get there again soon, enjoy.
