            Rundetårn (simply 'Round Tower') was built 1635-42, as part of the Trinitatis Complex, to raise Christian IV's astronomical observatory high above the surrounding rooftops.  Unfortunately, light pollution and vibration from the growing city rendered the observatory impractical for research purposes by the 19th Century, but the tower remains a fine viewpoint across the city.

Most of the roofs are unfamiliar to me, but I do see the glass roof of the ILLUM department store, 350 m away.

A banner outside Kunsthallen Nikolaj, 460 m away, proclaims (in English) that "I'm Not A Church!".  I can't imagine why potential visitors might get that impression.
The original Sankt Nicolai Kirke, built in the early 13th Century, was considered Copenhagen's third oldest church; the city's first Lutheran sermon was preached here in 1530.  However, all but the tower was destroyed by fire in 1795 and that remnant was deconsecrated in 1805.  The brick tower, without a spire, stood alone within a meat market for much of the 19th Century, serving as a naval museum and a library, before the body of the church and the spire were reconstructed 1909-12.  Nikolaj Udstillingsbygning was the venue of art exhibitions from 1957; the renamed Kunsthallen Nikolaj (usually just 'Nikolaj') now specialises in Danish and international contemporary art.
The smaller spire to the left is at the eastern end of the same building.

Nikolaj's startlingly ornate spire is one the few able to overshadow that of the baroque Vor Frelser Kirke (Church of Our Saviour), 1½ km away in Christianshavn, where the distinctive external staircase of its 90 m helical spire, er, spirals to a statue of Jesus.

In the background, with its central span 19¾ km away, the Øresund Bridge ('Øresundsbron' in an official hybrid of Danish and Swedish) links the road, rail and internet networks of Denmark to Sweden near Malmö, via the 7,845 m bridge itself and a 4 km tunnel.
