Lode Mill...

Location: Anglesey Abbey - Nation Trust, Cambridgeshire, England.
Anglesey Abbey, formerly a priory, lies 9km northeast of Cambridge.
The Priory was built in the early part of the 12th century by Augustinian canons and it was known as Anglesea or Anglesey Priory.
The canons were expelled in 1535 during the Dissolution of the Monasteries and the building was later sold to Thomas Hobson, who converted it to a country house for his son-in-law, Thomas Parker, retaining a few arches from the original priory. At that time the name of the building was changed to "Anglesey Abbey", which sounded posher than the original "Anglesey Priory".
Sitting in a quiet corner of the grounds of the abbey sits Lode Water Mill. Dating from the 18th century, the mill was restored to full working condition in 1982 and now sells traditional wholemeal flour to visitors.
