Something is wrong in this picture. The pantograph of Combino 2072 is partly hanging in the catenary on the Muiderstraatweg at the point tram line 19 is making it's turn after the terminus loop of Diemen Sniep. The other part of the pantograph (what remained) was lying on the roof of the tram. The Combino was not in service but was apparently relocated from the HWT (Main Workshop Tram) to one of the two depots (Havenstraat or Lekstraat). Tramline 19 was shortened to Brinkstraat during this disruption in service. Three 12G trams of line 19 were blocked at the terminus Diemen Sniep (under which 926 and 819). 
It could very well be that this is caused to the extreme heat of this day. Amsterdam has experienced temperatures of 35° C during this day and the all time temperature record was broken in Eindhoven this day where the thermometer indicated 39.3 ° at its maximum. Catenary which is not stretched tight enough are hanging like a clotheslines at this heat. 
This Combino 2072 was delivered by Siemens to the GVB on 04/04/2003 and first put into service on 17/05/2003 on line 25 (President Kennedylaan - Centraal Station vv).
