Pentacon Praktica LLC - a photo on Flickriver

            This is the first camera to electrically transmit the aperture to the camera's light meter. The M42 lenses for the camera have electrical contacts at the back, like modern lenses, but only three. Almost all lenses for this camera and its successors have an 'electric' in their designation.
The picture shows a Meyer Görlitz Oreston with electrics, which does not yet have 'electric' in the name. The lens was later called the 'Pentacon electric 1.8/50'.

Dies ist die erste Kamera mit elektrischer Übertragung der Blende an den Belichtungsmesser der Kamera. Die M42 Objektive für die Kamera haben hinten elektrische Kontakte, wie moderne Objektive, allerdings nur drei. Fast alle Objektive für diese Kamera und ihre Nachfolger tragen ein ‚electric‘ mit in der Bezeichnung.
Auf dem Bild ist ein Meyer Görlitz Oreston mit Elektrik, welches noch kein ‚electric‘ in der Bezeichnung trägt. Später hieß das Objektiv ‚Pentacon electric 1.8/50‘.
