Waking

            Dusty enjoys sleeping for up to 16 hours a day. I often wonder what cats dream of. He's your typical cat, all go when he's outside and then climbing onto a bed with his stuffed toy friend "Puppy" after a big feed. 

Dusty's favourite activity when awake is playing with the birds that come into our backyard. Yes, the birds do play games of hide and seek with him - especially those clever magpies. They all know Dusty it seems, and so he can never surprise them (which is a good thing). In fact I suspect Dusty enjoys the play more so than actual stalking. He did catch and kill a mouse one day, and promptly delivered it to the back door as a gift for us. I gave it a decent burial in the garden.
