Peppers - a photo on Flickriver

Peppers

            The Peppers chain of hotels and resorts in Australia (like all tourist dependent industries) has been doing it very tough over the past year. You may recall that during the lock down in Tasmania I featured the Peppers York Town Cove Resort as a veritable ghost town (link below). Now that state borders have reopened some tourists are arriving, but it will take a bit of time for the industry to bounce back. The Silo Hotel will play a major role in that recovery.

The Grain Restaurant in the foreground provides fine dining with views of the Tamar River and Launceston.

* Apologies to those who faved the original black and white version. I decided the change to some subtle colour in this dull light. Partly because tomorrow I want to feature three monochromes of a rural scene.
