20100204_8172_1D3-600 Power Tower

            Cashmere Hills, Christchurch.  A power pylon about 30 minutes after sunset. The sky was this bright orange colour.  A 600mm lens makes it that you can't tell which way the lines go.   I had seen this view a couple of weeks earlier when taking some foreign visitors up to the Summit Road, but did not have the right gear, so returned early February to catch the dramatic orange sky. Canon 1D MkIII and Canon 600mm f4 lens.
