Hurricane Sandy Flooding - a photo on Flickriver

            These pictures were taken Tuesday morning after Sandy had passed in the industrial area near my workplace. In fact, this is as close as I could get to my office due to flooding. Sandy pushed a massive storm surge into the NY area causing all the tidal rivers (Hudson, Hackensack, Passaic) to rise approximately 12 feet over their mean high tide levels sending water into areas that had never before flooded.

In this shot, the water has actually receded somewhat from it's peak. At the peak, the water in this shot was about 3 feet deeper.
