Autumn Reflections-2-30 - a photo on Flickriver

            The Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Having a tendon injury in my left ankle meant I couldn't do the usual hill walking so I ended up limping around some different locations with photography rather than walking in mind. These photos were all taken on a one mile stretch of the canal between Mosley and Uppermill. Most of the tree reflections have been flipped as they were reflected upside down. They look quite effective upside down but I decided that a lot of people would think that it was a mistake plus an upside down image takes a lot more contemplating and I'm not sure people give many images on Flickr that much attention.
We were cruising looking for Autumn scenes and I saw the sun lighting the trees at the side of the canal as I glanced sideways, I actually drove on but then thought better of it and we went back and we had a wander on. I had the 5D with me but only took the G1X. I shot in raw so I was better able to deal with the high contrast. I was quite pleased with the end result
