            Ciconia maguari (Gmelin, 1789) - Único membro do gênero Ciconia na América Tropical, a Cegonha-branca possui uma plumagem branca e preta, e um bico cinza terminado por um ponto vermelho. Como os outros Ciconidae, ela frequenta zonas de campo aberto e próximo de lagoas, onde captura peixes, amfíbios e pequenos répteis.
