A Decade Ago - Ice Pancakes - a photo on Flickriver

            This shot was taken in January 2010  on the River Coiltie close to where we now live.
This is the only time I have seen these strange Ice Pancakes or Ice Discs caused by the swirling water.
Given the recent rainfall, my guess is that the water level in the river is currently a good few feet higher than in the picture.
