Kirche Sønderby Kegnaes - a photo on Flickriver

            Kegnæs
is a peninsula on the southern coast of Als in Denmark.

Kegnæs ist eine Halbinsel am südlichen Ende der Insel Als (dt.: Alsen), Nordschleswig, Dänemark. 

Kegnæs umfasst knapp 17 Quadratkilometer, hier leben 575 Menschen, vor 150 Jahren waren es noch über 1000. 
Das Moränenland, das bis zu 20 m über NN ansteigt, ist recht fruchtbar, aber fast völlig waldlos. 
Die Besiedlung ist überwiegend von Einzelhöfen und kleineren Häusergruppen geprägt. Nur Sønderby und Østerby bilden geschlossene Dörfer. 

Im Norden trennt der Fördenarm Hørup Hav die Halbinsel fast von Lysabild, die Verbindung stellt nur die etwa 700 m lange Nehrung Drejet sicher. 

Kegnæs grenzt im Süden an die Flensburger Außenförd.

Kirche in Sønderby, Herzog Johann der Jüngere ließ sie 1615 errichten.
