Walk the Line 2012 - Trippple Nippples

Crazy performance by the Japanese band Trippple Nippples at the Walk the Line festival 2012. Walk the Line is a annual two-day music event with national and international acts at different locations throughout the city centre of The Hague, the Netherlands. The festival has a wide ranging line-up from singer-songwriters to electronic music, as well as cross over styles such as rock, blues, Americana and soul. It’s a festival for alternative pop, rock and dance fanatics.

Het knotsgekke optreden van Trippple Nippples was één van de hoogtepunten van de tweede avond Walk the Line 2012. De Japanse meidengroep-maar-dan-anders, die overigens vorig jaar al furore maakte op Lowlands, zette de propvolle Zwarte Ruiter volledig op z'n kop. De wild beschilderde catsuits die de dames dragen, gaan al snel uit en niet veel later hangt één van de Trippple Nippples ondersteboven aan de overloop, terloops nippend aan een glas wijn van een verbouwereerde festivalganger. Na afloop van het bizarre optreden loopt het publiek snakkend naar adem de Grote Markt op waar de bandleden niet veel later ook rondhangen alsof er niet gebeurd is...
Walk the Line festival is een tweedaags indoor muziekevenement van de makers van Crossing Border met hoogstaande alternatieve muziek voor breed georiënteerde, muzikale avonturiers. Het festival presenteerde op 11 en 12 mei 2012 rond de Grote Markt in Den Haag tientallen optredens door veelbelovende (inter)nationale bands, acts en dj's: beloftes van morgen, giganten van de underground, singer-songwriters, poppy rockmuziek, rockende indie, uptempo folk-'n'-roll, dance-acts en vuige electro.
