Galactic views - a photo on Flickriver

Galactic views

For those of you with an iphone, I have 100 of my "best" in an application called "ifolio". It is a free application. This picture is in my ifolio portfolio

My first night out as I travelled west for a week. Bald Rock is the is the largest granite rock in Australia. It's 750 metres long, 500 metres wide and 200 metres high. On the 1277m summit there is a series of 5 huge boulders and the reward of a fabulous 360 degree view.

Bald Rock itself and the many geomorphological features of the Park offer a challenge to photographers. Just how do you capture their impact and grandeur?

I tell you, it was frigg'n cold and windy up there but it's something I always wanted to do....and did again on my return for another night shot series.
