Camborne & Redruth tram No. 8 in Wesley St.

An old photograph of Camborne and Redruth Tramways (CRT) car No. 8 by the Camborne Centenary Wesleyan Chapel in Wesley Street.

The photo reverse shows that the negative belongs to the 'A. D. Packer Collection'.

No. 8 was an open top balcony car built in 1903 by Milne seating 22/26 and running on a Milnes girder truck. In Sep 1927 the passenger parts of the Camborne/Redruth tramways system that had not already been withdrawn or transferred to bus operation closed, the freight part remained open until Aug 1934, after the closures all the cars were scrapped.
