Montmartre | Sacre Coeur - a photo on Flickriver

            Even on a chilly Tuesday morning in late January the Sacre Coeur was still teeming with visitors and people hawking cheap souvenirs. Nevertheless it was still great to see this icon of the Paris skyline up close.

I went up the nearly 300 steps with my heavy camera bag and enjoyed the panoramic views of the whole city, despite the heavy cloud cover.

This is a simple medium close up from a slightly oblique perspective, as the main staircase was too full of people for my tastes. This was taken with my Sony RX100 VII which really is a great little travel camera ...
