(2) A-4Q attacking HMS Ardent - a photo on Flickriver

After the loss of the Argentinian Cruiser General Belgrano, the A-4Qs were unloaded from the Aircraft Carrier Veinticinco de Mayo and continued to perform their missions from land bases.

These Naval planes were responsible for the sinking of the British Frigate HMS Ardent.

A total of 22 Skyhawks were lost during the war. Because of the American Embargo on spare parts (due to the Dirty War), the ejection seats didn´t work so if they were hit, the pilot´s couldn´t leave the plane.
