The beautiful Christie. - a photo on Flickriver

            When I was a kid I didn't like this headmold at all and even when I started collecting Barbie as an adult, I vigorously neglected it.
Now that I'm older and oh so much wiser, I see how beautiful it is. It's clearly made by the same artist who sculpted the superstar Barbie headmold and many of the best 70/80s era doll.
Now that I think of it, it's the eye painting that I didn't like on Christie. In the late 80s early 90s they had those big cartoony eyes; I love them on Barbie and Midge but somehow not on Christie.

This is Beach Blast Christie from 1989 (on MTM body obviously)
Skirt made by me, jacket is Fashion Avenue, top is Fashion Fever and shoes are Fashionistas.
