Sería imperdonable visitar el caribe o el pacífico colombiano y no dedicar un rato a observar al pelícano pardo.

            Es maravilloso disfrutar verlo lanzarse en picada desde alturas que rebasan los 10 metros de altura y zambullirse una y otra vez tras sus presas compuestas de peces como sardinas o arenques que detecta durante sus vuelos a baja o media altura.  

Es increíble verle dominar magistralmente el viento del mar para ahorrar energía durante sus desplazamientos en vuelos rasantes o en grandes grupos empleando creativas estrategias de formación en “V”.

It is unforgivable to visit the Colombian Caribbean or Pacific oceans and not dedicate time to watch the Brown pelican. It is great to see how they continuously dive to capture fish they spot while flying close to the surface of the sea.
