Look Out - a photo on Flickriver

Look Out

The one tiny detail that really intrigues me about Whitby pier and Jetty is that the hand rails on the raised part of the jetty run exactly in line with the horizon..........I've noticed this on a few photographs looking in this direction at Whitby. Is it purely by chance or design on the architects part?

The result is when you get a boat coming in on the horizon this way it looks like its riding the rails...................?????? check this one from Karen Hyperopia :
