            "Questa è la storia di un amore difficile.... 
E’ la storia di un “pezzo” brutto della Storia dell’Architettura Contemporanea a Piacenza che per anni ha fatto l’occhiolino al suo illustre vicino e predecessore. 
Questa è la storia recente di un edificio che mai come in questi giorni, lacerato e in frantumi, è "assomigliato" così tanto al suo dirimpettaio. 
Quel dirimpettaio, la cui immagine con umiltà ha provato per anni a moltiplicare nella sua bellezza ineguagliabile, ora lo guarda  forse un po’ triste perché, altezzoso, prova dispiacere a non potersi più rispecchiare bello e austero nel vicino brutto e cattivo."
