Marina di Pisa è una località balneare della Toscana, nel centro Italia. Si trova sulla riva sinistra del fiume Arno, dove sfocia nel Mar Tirreno. Si trova direttamente a nord della località balneare di Tirrenia e circa 10 chilometri a ovest di Pisa. Da Marina di Pisa, è possibile vedere le isole di Corsica, Elba e Gorgona; e le montagne delle Alpi Apuane, dell'Appennino e dei Monti Pisani sopra Pisa. Marina di Pisa fu in gran parte costruita durante il boom economico della fine del 1800, come stazione balneare. Fu ulteriormente sviluppato negli anni '30. Molte industrie di supporto marittimo si sono sviluppate alla foce del fiume Arno e nell'area lungo le sue sponde. La compagnia aerea tedesca Dornier fondò la maggior parte della loro produzione in città dal 1922 al 1932, dopo che il Trattato di Versailles del 1919 vietò la costruzione di aerei a motore in Germania. Il villaggio è principalmente abitato durante l'estate, tuttavia ci sono molte persone che vivono qui tutto l'anno. Un progetto di riqualificazione è in corso alla foce dell'Arno, noto come "Bocca d'Arno", in una zona industriale dismessa in cui è stato costruito un nuovo porto turistico e un nuovo quartiere residenziale sarà inaugurato nei prossimi anni

Marina di Pisa is a seaside resort of Tuscany, in central Italy. It lies on the left bank of the Arno River, where it flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is located directly north of the seaside resort of Tirrenia and about 10 kilometers West from Pisa. From Marina di Pisa, it is possible to see the islands of Corsica, Elba and Gorgona; and the mountains of the Apuan Alps, Apennines, and Monti Pisani above Pisa. Marina di Pisa was mostly built during the economic boom of the late 1800s, as a seaside resort. It was further developed in the 1930s. Many marine support industries developed at the mouth of the Arno river and in the area along its banks. The German aviation company Dornier based most of their production in the town from 1922 to 1932, after The Treaty of Versailles of 1919 banned construction of engine-powered aircraft in Germany. The village is mostly inhabited during summer, however there are many people that live here all year. A redevelopment project is under way at the mouth of the Arno, known as "Bocca d’Arno", in a disused industrial area where a new touristic port has been built and a new residential district will be inaugurated in the next years.
