The Renaissance at Kelham Hall [04] - a photo on Flickriver

            A beautiful stately home on the bank of the River Trent, Nottinghamshire, recently re-opened with new owners and a brand new team! magnificent Victorian House remains an impressive landmark on the Trent Valley. Set within 42 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland.
It was originally built for Robert Sutton, 1st Lord Lexington, and later became a theological college for the Society of the Sacred Mission. The current building, designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, was completed in 1863 and is a Grade I listed building. During both World Wars, Kelham Hall was used by the military. In 1973, the Society sold Kelham Hall to the Newark and Sherwood District Council for their administrative headquarters. Kelham Hall is now a private wedding and events venue, known as The Renaissance at Kelham Hall.
