Late Night at the Hydro - a photo on Flickriver

            In preparation for archiving my photos from a few years back I found another unprocessed photo from the Pacific Quay in Glasgow.  The Hydro (the brightly lit domed arena) was still being completed.  I was here after midnight and I could still see workers milling about in the structure.  

The strange sky is an artifact of city lights reflecting off of low overcast clouds.  To the naked eye the sky looked nearly black but the 6-second exposure picks up the artificial lights against the clouds, especially the yellow-orange sodium vapor streetlights, which were still ubiquitous in the UK when I was there.
