Dalt Quarry

            Dalt Quarry, one of my favourite places in the Lake District, although , I freely admit that I have not photographed it as much as I should of over the years that have passed by.

It is a very still and quiet place, even on this day the wind was blowing a bit, and it was trying to rain. But, when I completed the short climb up to the quarry, the water and trees were still, and the only sound was that of several Raven's calling from the crags far above on the side of Maiden Moor, the Raven's kept this up for most of the time that I was there, which only added to the calming effect the place had on me for the 45 minutes or so that I was there.
