the colony is parked...(HMM) - a photo on Flickriver

            Found this old Mercury Colony Park parked in a cow pasture along old Route 14 in central South Dakota. Gives an all new meaning of the phrase "put out to pasture". The Colony Park, sister to the Ford Country Squire, was produced for 34 years. With the popularity of minivans and SUVs, Ford discontinued all station wagons in '92. The Mercury nameplate was killed off in 2010. I'm guessing this is a fourth generation model, produced mainly in the '70s...
