The heartbreak of film and developer testing is when something fails, yes it a learning experience but its never the same to shoot something a second time, if you can at all. 

I was testing the new Cinestill DF96 Monobath film developer and per their quote DF96 monobath "works with any black and white film” but it, like all monobaths does not. 

When I know the chemical make up of a monobath I am a pretty good predictor of it’s success rate and I have only found one monobath that works well with my beloved Svema 200, my own little recipe. 

Svema 200 - failed - very underdeveloped
T-Max 400 - a bit dense but very usuable
Plus-X (outdated but freezer stored) - beautiful negs. 

Film: T-Max400, Cinestill DF96 developer, 80 degrees, 3 minute processing time, with prewet.
