NEARING THE TOP ALONE - a photo on Flickriver

Што смо ближи врху, то смо усамљенији. Божо Чворовић, рекордер Црне Горе у скијашким скоковима већ преко шест деценија, са својих 85 година приближава се крају жичаре на Савином Куку. На врху стазе ће застати, разгледати, без журбе навући рукавице и ухватити штапове, опет разгледати и тек онда лагано али одлучно почети свој спуст низ ову "плаву" писту. У току многих година живота Божо је прошао десетине хиљаде километара стаза, а многе километре боме и прелетео на скијама. Тако је научио да боље вреднује сваки садашњи тренутак, сваки метар и сваки нови доживљај на стази. Зато не жури, док други око њега промичу и нестају као да и не примећују чудесни свет око себе. Божова неупадљива појава на скијалишту крије легенду Дурмитора која никад неће бити превазиђена, без обзира на евентуалне нове рекорде у техничком смислу. Божово време и његов живот, то је нешто што се не понавља.

► █░▓    EACH YEAR WE INDULGE in the quiet anticipation: shall we see him on the slope again? Božo Čvorović at 85, the living legend of Montenegro ski sport, lost almost all of his contemporaries from 1962 when he broke the local record with his ski jump of 46 meters. Due to odd circumstances that followed, the only ski jumping hill in Montenegro was brought down not long after his record jump. So up until today this record of his remains uncontested. Actually, far more than those 46 meters, many years of his life count almost double that. They have seen as many changes as a human life span saw never before in history. Especially in Montenegro was this development remarkable in its grasp. Perhaps nowhere else in Europe have as many changes taken place as here in the past 70 years. The life of this lone ski champion is a sole memory treasure that will hardly ever repeat in times to come.

B+W F-PRO 46 mm circular-polar filter over tiny neat Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 zoom, aperture fully open at 100mm. This lens fits nicely the GM1's miniature body. The only problem with the GM1 is its LCD screen which is indistinguishable in bright sun / its lack of the viewfinder,  which both make it difficult to compose. You have to guess. Developed and edited in Affinity Photo 2.0.4, including the remarkable Haze Removal and handy Denoise filters. Sharpened in IrfanView 4.62
