Fake Hose

            For now the midday sun can still create the illusion that these feet are wearing shoes and stockings. But soon it will be too high to shine in through the screen on our opened front door onto the small Persian rug* in the entranceway.

Some people like ladies' feet to be bare, others prefer them stockinged or shod or both. This and its companion photo have a foot in both camps, as it were...

The lady whose feet these are has always gone for red nail polish.  But I thought red would clash with this rug, and suggested we try blue.  Contrary to preconceptions, I find the change pleasantly disturbing.
