1941 Gale’s Graphic Models Cheesecake Girlie Magazine

            Vintage March 1941 issue of Gale’s Graphic Models - a pseudo Art and Photography Magazine. Magazines such as this one claimed to be a visual aid for artists and photographers interested in the female form to avoid censorship issues. Each page would be adorned by one or more models in various poses with many different types of light and an occasional prop. In reality they were basically just girlie, cheesecake, pin-up and nudie rags. I was an art student in the 1960s and have seen more than my share of these publications. Popular in their time - just not by artists and photographers. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
