Lichtfarben auf dem Rhein - a photo on Flickriver

            Köln im Farbenkleid der Nacht

Sobald die Sonne hinter dem Horizont verschwindet, beginnt Köln in einem neuen Licht zu erstrahlen. Die Stadt hüllt sich in warme, teils leuchtende Farben – vom sanften Gold der Brückenlichter bis zum kühlen Blau des Himmels, das sich in den Fluss spiegelt.
In dieser Szene verschmelzen Bauwerke wie der Dom, die Hohenzollernbrücke und die Altstadt zu einem Farbspiel, das sich in der Bewegung des Rheins widerspiegelt.
Ich wollte diesen Moment festhalten, in dem der Alltag zur Ruhe kommt und das urbane Leben in eine fast malerische Atmosphäre übergeht. Die Farben sind nicht bloß Licht – sie erzählen Geschichten, betonen Formen, schaffen Tiefe.
Köln zeigt sich hier nicht nur als Stadt, sondern als Leinwand – bemalt von Licht, Wasser und Zeit.

Cologne in the Colors of the Night

As soon as the sun disappears behind the horizon, Cologne begins to glow in a new light. The city wraps itself in warm, sometimes radiant colors – from the soft gold of the bridge lights to the cool blues of the sky reflected in the river.
In this scene, architectural landmarks like the cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge, and the historic old town merge into a play of colors that dances on the surface of the Rhine.
I wanted to capture that moment when the daily hustle fades, and urban life transforms into something almost painterly.
The colors here are not just light – they tell stories, highlight shapes, and create depth. Cologne reveals itself not merely as a city, but as a canvas painted by light, water, and time.
